C-Pen has been developed by C Technologies AB, which up until 2003 was a subsidiary of the ANOTO GROUP AB, a Swedish hi-tech company with unique solutions for transmission of handwritten text from paper to digital media and scanning of printed text. Today C Technologies is merged into ANOTO AB but is still maintaining operation under the same brand name. The basic philosophy is to tailor products and services to suit natural human behavior. All products are based on digital camera technology and image processing in real time.
The Anoto Group today has two main brand names: AnotoŽ - a comprehensive solution entailing paper, pen and server technologies, allowing us for the first time to connect all types of writing paper with the unlimited possibilities of the digital world and C-PenŽ - a scanning pen that can store, interpret and transfer printed text.
