C-Pen Core Software

C-Pen Core Software is the software delivered on the CD in the C-Pen 3.0 and C-Pen 3.5 packages. To use C-Pen on your computer, this software must be installed.

If you already have a C-Pen Software (i.e. C-Pen 20 or C Dictionary software) installed, read more here!

C-Pen Core is hence the main software and includes the Optical Character Recognition that turns the scanned printed text into computer editable text. It also features the text-to-cursor function that automatically insert the scanned text into the application of your choice, wherever the text cursor is positioned.

If you want to scan text into your own favourite software, just start that application (e.g. Word, Notepad, Excel, etc.), place the cursor where you want the text to appear, and scan with the C-Pen.

The C-Pen Core Software allows you to define multiple scan and OCR settings and save these as Scan Profiles. If you like to change from scanning text in English to scanning numbers only - you simply select appropriate Scan Profile.
